Dr Dan Jess will present at the ASME 2023 conference in Sydney

We’re excited to announce that Senior Lecturer Dr Dan Jess will be presenting at the Australian Society of Music Educators (ASME) conference in Sydney in July.

His presentation, entitled "Towards a capability-based framework for crossover singing teachers: A narrative literature review," will explore the challenges and opportunities faced by singing teachers who work across different styles and genres of music.

Through a narrative literature review, he will examine the skills and competencies that are necessary for effective crossover singing teaching, and propose a capability-based framework that can be used to guide the professional development of singing teachers.
