Musicology Diplomas

If you are a passionate researcher in singing voice, acting voice or any other area of musicology, you can have your experience recognised by obtaining formal certifications.

The Australian College of Vocal Arts (ACVA) offers two distinct levels of certification in musicology. These diplomas are aligned with our singing teaching and vocology diploma courses.

There are no prerequisites for either certification.

Licentiate Diploma (Musicology) (LACVA)

Submit 1 or more research papers (or a thesis/dissertation) on a relevant topic under the broad field of musicology.

Submit at least 15,000 words in total (excluding references).

Use APA7 referencing style. Submissions must be typed, not hand-written. You may submit previously published material provided you were the sole author.

Fee $650 gst inclusive

Fellowship Diploma (Musicology) (FACVA)

Submit 2 or more research papers (or a thesis/dissertation) on a relevant topic under the broad field of musicology.

Submit at least 30,000 words in total (excluding references).

Use APA7 referencing style. Submissions must be typed, not hand-written. You may submit previously published material provided you were the sole author.
